Abstract

The research objectives are to describe: 1) procedures for wide-scale testing of teaching materials for reading skills in expository texts on prophetic topics based on digital information technology at high school level; 2) teacher assessment of the process of implementing wide-scale trials of teaching materials for skills in reading expository texts on prophetic topics based on digital information technology at high school level; 3) teacher assessment of teaching materials for skills in reading expository texts on prophetic topics based on digital information technology at high school level. The research was conducted at SMAIT within the Islamic Foundation of al Kahfi Batam; implemented in the odd semester 2025/2026. The research population was class X students who took part in a series of learning activities in order to test reading skills teaching materials based on digital information technology. They numbered 69 students. The main instruments of this research are reading skills teaching materials based on digital information technology at the high school level itself, reading skills tests, observation guidelines, closed system questionnaires for teachers, and audio-video recording tools. Pre-test data and post-test data on learning outcomes were analyzed using descriptive statistics, namely mean, percent, standard deviation, median and mode. Learning process data originating from audio-video is analyzed qualitatively using objective considerations. Questionnaire data were analyzed using a closed category answer system tabulation approach. Research results: 1) wide-scale trial procedures, namely: pre-test, implementation of online learning in formal classes, and regular and repeated post-tests; 2) teacher assessment of the process of implementing wide-scale trials of teaching materials in the very systematic category; 3) the teacher's assessment of teaching materials for reading skills in expository texts on prophetic topics based on digital information technology at the high school level is in the very good category.
