The Learning Numerical Instruction Paragraph Listening Skills Using Intensive Practice Technique and Test Technique

This research aims to describe: 1) procedures for learning skills in listening to numerical instruction paragraphs using intensive practice techniques; 2) learning outcomes for skills in listening to numerical instruction paragraphs using intensive practice techniques. This research was carried out in class 5 of SD Negeri 07 Pontianak Kota District in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The population of this study were 5th grade students who took part in learning the skill of listening to numerical instruction paragraphs using intensive practice techniques, totaling 14 students. The research sample was 13 drawn at simple random without replacement. To collect data on learning procedures for skills in listening to numerical instruction paragraphs using intensive practice techniques, observation guidelines for learning activities recorded via electronic media were used. To collect data on the learning outcomes of numerical instruction paragraph listening skills using intensive practice techniques, an essay test was used. This test meets the content validity requirements. Data on learning procedures for skills in listening to numerical instruction paragraphs using intensive practice techniques were analyzed thematically per type of learning activity. Data on the results of learning to listen to numerical instruction paragraphs using intensive practice techniques were analyzed using parametric inferential statistical procedures, namely the one-sample t test. Research results: 1) learning procedures for listening to numerical instruction paragraphs using intensive practice techniques including initial activities, core activities and final activities; 2) learning outcomes of listening to numerical instruction paragraphs using high category intensive practice techniques.
