Abstract

This research aims to describe: 1) the readability level of scientific articles in online journals focused on accredited education, Sinta 4-6; 2) the readability level of scientific articles in online journals focused on education, Sinta-4-6 per Sinta ranking. Research activities will take place at May to early June 2024. This research uses the library method, namely every scientific article published in an online journal. The subjects of this research were 9 scientific articles sourced from 3 online journals focused on education; 3 articles each, Sinta-4, Sinta-5, and Sinta-6. Each online journal scientific article is selected using an accidental sampling technique. To collect data on the readability of scientific articles in online journals focused on accredited education, Sinta 4-6, observation guidelines were used. This technique is used to observe online scientific articles in online journals. Questionnaires were also used to validate the results of article readability analysis by the expert team. Data on the readability of scientific articles from accredited Islamic-focused online journals, Sinta-4-6, was analyzed using a modified Fog Index which was modified in line with the conversion of English data into Indonesian. The readability of scientific articles in online journals according to the differences in Sinta ratings 4-6 was analyzed using descriptive statistical procedures through mode items. Research results: 1) the readability level of scientific articles in online journals focused on accredited education, Sinta 4-6, produces a value of 6.21 to 11.29; a small number of articles are easy to read for elementary school students and most are easy for students and university students to read; 2) there are differences in the level of readability of scientific articles in online journals focused education by Sinta 4-6 on accredited.
