Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe: 1) the correlation between reading comprehension skills and Islamic Education and Characteristics subjects; 2) correlation between reading comprehension skills and Civics subjects; 3) correlation between reading comprehension skills and Indonesian language skills; 4) correlation between reading comprehension skills and Mathematics subjects; 5) correlation between reading comprehension skills and science subjects; 6) correlation between reading comprehension skills and social studies subjects. The research was conducted at Wihdatul Ummah Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Bolo District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The research was held at the end of the 2023/2024 even semester. The population of this study were 6th grade students who took a written reading comprehension skills test. They numbered 24 students. All students were used as sample members. The instrument of this research is a written test of reading comprehension skills in multiple choice form. Questionnaires were used to collect secondary data for all compulsory subjects in group A. Data were analyzed using non-parametric inferential statistical procedures, namely Spearman's level correlation test. Research results: 1) the correlation between reading comprehension skills and PAI and Characteristics subjects produces r = 0.649; 2) the correlation between reading comprehension skills and PPKn subjects produces r = 0.652; 3) the correlation between reading comprehension skills and Indonesian language subjects produces r = 0.708; 4) the correlation between reading comprehension skills and Mathematics subjects produces r = 0.454; 5) the correlation between reading comprehension skills and science subjects produces r = 0.317; 6) the correlation between reading comprehension skills and social studies subjects produces r = 0.431.
