The Relationship between Reading Skills of Online Journal Articles and Writing Skills Reduction of Online Journal Article Findings

This study aims to describe the mean skills of reading online journal scientific articles and the mean of writing skills reducing the findings of online journal scientific articles. This research takes place at the end of the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year which takes place at the Indonesian Language Study Program, FKIP Adzkia University. The population of this study were students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP Adzkia University, Padang, West Sumatra, totaling 28 students. This number is a group of students who submit online journal article reading skills tests and write reductions on online journal article findings on the Google form. A sample of 27 students was selected by simple random without replacement. Determination of the number of samples refers to Slavin's opinion. The research instrument was a skill test to read online journal scientific articles in the form of short essays and a writing skills test to reduce the findings of online journal scientific articles in the form of short essays using the Google Form facility. All tests met the requirements of content validity. Data on skills to read scientific articles in online journals and writing skills to reduce the findings of scientific articles in online journals were analyzed using one sample t test. Data on the degree of relationship between online journal scientific article reading skills and online journal scientific article writing skills reduction findings were analyzed using the r product moment test procedure. The findings regarding the relationship data of this study is that there is a significant relationship between the skills of reading scientific articles in online journals and the skills in writing reduction of the findings of scientific articles in online journals. al online
