Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) the learning procedure for writing paragraphs on mathematical topic procedures using numeric substitution techniques through special teaching materials; 2) the learning outcomes of writing paragraphs on mathematical topic procedures using numeric substitution techniques through special teaching materials. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 17 Pulau Gorom. The study took place in the odd semester of 2024/2025. This study used a descriptive method. The population of this study were 6th grade students of SD Negeri 17 Pulau Gorom who took part in learning paragraphs on mathematical topic procedures using numeric substitution techniques. There were 16 students. This study used a total sample. To collect data on learning outcomes for writing paragraphs on mathematical topic procedures, a writing paragraph test on mathematical topic procedures was used. This test meets the validity requirements because it is compiled using objective and systematic procedures. Each student's answer sheet is checked using a scoring rubric to obtain a raw score. Data on learning outcomes for writing paragraphs on mathematical topic procedures were analyzed using descriptive statistical procedures, namely mean and percentage through manual calculations assisted by excel tables. Research results: 1) the learning procedure for writing paragraphs on mathematical topic procedures using numerical substitution techniques through special teaching materials involves 3 initial activities, 10 core activities, and 2 final activities; 2) the learning outcomes for writing paragraphs on mathematical topic procedures using numerical substitution techniques reached a mean of 82.23 over a learning target of 75.00.
